The Seven Days Of Creation Paintings
I
began a project in 1995 to visually express my interpretation
of the Seven Days of Creation as described in the Book
of Genesis. The resulting seven paintings took me seven
years to complete. Painted in watercolor, pastel, metallic
paint and collage media, each image size
is 21 x 29 inches and each is framed in a 31 x 39 black
metal frame using black double mats and acrylic glazing.
The
Creation Series paintings have recently been purchased
by the Fuller Theological Seminary-Southwest in Phoenix,
Arizona where they had been on loan since 2004. They will
continue to be displayed in a specially lighted setting
for students and visitors and used by the school for student
involvement in studying the Book Of Genesis.
Fuller is one of North America's
largest seminaries offering a university-style education
and advanced degrees. There are campuses or offices in
seventeen cities in the western United States with the
main campus in Pasadena, California. Fuller is widely
known for its racial and denominational diversity, with
more than 4,300 students from over 67 countries and over
108 denominations.
