The materials listed here are useful for both indoor and Paint On Location classes.


  • Arches Block, 18 x 24, 140-lb cold-press
  • Water container, about 1-quart, plastic
  • Paper towels or facial tissue or cloth rag
  • Razor blade or sharp knife
  • Art sponge - natural
  • Pencil & eraser (kneaded)
  • Sketch book, 8-1/2 x 11
  • Sketching pencils (3-4)
  • Drawing pad, 18 x 24
  • Masking tape
  • Palette - large plastic type or butcher tray
  • Charcoal sticks, soft
  • Bulldog clips, large (4-6)
  • Hair dryer (inside classes only)

WHAT TO WEAR & BRING

Spring classes will be held indoors in a heated workshop space. Layered clothing is suggested. Wear comfortable shoes! Worktables and easels are provided. For all classes you must provide your own art supplies.

The Paint On Location class will be held outdoors (indoors only if weather demands). Bring a wide brim hat, layered clothing, comfortable walking shoes, sunblock lotion, sunglasses, a stool or folding chair and your portable easel (or substitute).
