ARTIST'S COMMENTS: After hearing my Dad's stories of being raised on a farm in Kansas, I had a deep desire to raise my family on a farm. It didn't happen. Then I married Leroy - who was raised on a farm in Nebraska. After hearing about my earlier desires he replied, "You can't even imagine how hard the never ending work is!" After visiting his original home in Nebraska where his sister and brother-in-law still farm...there was this marvelous old red Farmall tractor resting next to an old chicken house. This is one of my favorite farm scenes.
