Katheryn Davis Painting Will Fund Local Rotary Club Scholarship

Soaring Over The Beach, Watercolor by the late Katheryn Davis

This original watercolor collage painting by the late Katheryn Davis, titled Soaring Over The Beach, has been donated to this year's Rotary Club auction by the artist's husband, Leroy Krzycki.

Proceeds from this year's sale of the painting, valued at $1,400, will be used to fund the Katheryn Davis Memorial Scholarship which will benefit a student from the Florence or Mapleton communities.

Over the past 10 years, Katheryn donated a painting each year to the annual Rotary Club Auction, garnering to the Club well over $9,000. For future Rotary auctions, Katheryn's family hopes to continue this tradition in support of the Katheryn Davis Memorial Scholarship.

The Florence Rotary Club's 50th Anniversary Auction is Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Florence Events Center.
